Important information about your rental
On arrival you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of Compass Campers Milan. Here is a summary of the terms and conditions:
Definitions
The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for Compass Campers Milan.
- The Supplier means the operator of Compass Campers Milan
- The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s)
PRICE INCLUDES
VAT accidental damages, theft and fire insurance travel insurance, Green card to extend civil liability to certain non -EU countries.
PRICE EXCLUDES
Fuel, chemicals, gas, any fines, anything not included above.
DRIVERS
Drivers must be over 25 and under 70 years of age, of good health and have held a full driving licence valid for the vehicle to be hired for at least one year. It may benefit you to consider an international licence prior to arrival at the depot.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
An initial non refundable deposit, as itemised in the breakdown of costs, will be secured at the time of your booking confirmation. The final balance due will be secured 35 days prior to the commencement of the hire. Some additional extras and options may be payable upon arrival at the station at commencement of your rental. These will be itemised as payable upon arrival in your final breakdown of pricing. Accepted credit cards include Visa and Master Card. Please note any extra items purchased will be paid for directly to the supplier at pick up of vehicle.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of €1500.00 (category Comfort and Large) must be lodged with the Supplier before the vehicle can be taken away, by credit card; The Supplier will not rent the motorcaravan without the deposit by credit card. (ONLY VISA, MASTER CARD; NO AMERICAN EXPRESS). This will be refunded after a maximum of 10 days if the vehicle is returned on time, clean, undamaged, fully fuelled and with all equipment present. Any damage, cleaning, refuelling, extra time or equipment replacement costs will be deducted before the return of the security bond.
CANCELLATION
Your initial deposit paid is non refundable. In addition the following cancellation fees apply:
the payment of the total amount as reservation deposit if the cancellation will be up to 23 days before the commencement of the hire. The payment of the 100% of total rental amount if the cancellation will be after the above term.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
The supplier strongly recommends that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.
RENTAL DAYS LOST
No refund is due if the hirer for private matters postpone the rental or end it in advance.
PICK UP AND DROP OFF
The hire period shall normally commences at 4.00pm - 5.30pm daily and terminates between 9.900am -11.00am on the agreed day of return. Earlier collection times and weekend collections may be arranged depending upon availability. (an extra charge will be added).To allow the Supplier to make a thorough assessment of the vehicle, at least two hours will be needed for preparation and processing.
LATE RETURNS
In the event of a late return of the vehicle exceeding 1 hour, the Supplier reserves the right to make an additional daily charge at the relevant daily rate.
OFFICE HOURS
Monday - Friday: 9.30am - 12.30pm and 3.00pm - 6.30pm
Tuesday mornings: Closed
PICK UP
Pick up of all vehicles is only in the afternoons from 4.00pm - 5.30pm.
Pick up in the morning or Drop off in the afternoon means an extra half day charge.
Pick up and Drop off on a Saturday means an extra day charge.
Please contact the Supplier if you wish to alter your pick up or drop off to these times and are happy to incur these extra costs.
DROP OFF
The return of your vehicle must be from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. of the agreed day of pick up as per your confirmation invoice.
LATE RETURNS
In the event of a late return of the vehicle exceeding 1 hour, the Supplier reserves the right to make an additional daily charge at the relevant daily rate.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
The Supplier will happily refund the cost of a taxi fare from Linate airport to the suppliers depot (max €12.00) max for 4 people, (the Supplier will require presentation of the RECEIPT). See instructions below.
CLEANING FEE
In the event of a vehicle being returned in an unsatisfactory state the hirer will incur a cleaning charge of €50.00. (unemptied toilet cassette €70.00).
INSURANCE/BREAKDOWN
Fully comprehensive vehicle insurance is provided. Hirers are responsible for the first €1500.00 insurance excess in respect of each and every accident. (€2500.00 for damages to the roof/mansard)
There is no insurance coverage for damages to furnishings or accessories nor for damages caused by negligence or misconduct. The failure of accessories are not considered a breakdown and no downtime will be paid. No responsibility for accommodation charges, meals, change of itinerary or out of pocket expenses resulting from a break down or accident will be accepted. In the event of an accident there is no refund for monies paid for the unused portion of the rental.
Each vehicle will be provided with a tool kit, spare bulbs and national breakdown cover. The hirer should notify us in the event of any repairs required to the vehicle above the maximum value of €75,00. Please obtain invoices (named to the Supplier - please contact for VAT number) any payment which you make for repairs carried out, in order to obtain a refund from us. All accidents should be reported immediately by telephone to the suppliers offices.
In case of theft, hirers will be liable for the entire amount of the deposit. Please be advised to leave the vehicle always closed, without documents aboard, and with the antitheft on. Don't leave the vehicle unguarded. (N.B. accident could take longer to sort out and will inevitably lead to a delay in processing any refund):
In case of breakdown the hirer must keep in contact with the suppliers offices in order to report on the state of repairs. Hirer cooperation
will be appreciated in order to solve rapidly any problem.
DIESEL, OIL & GAS
These are the responsibility of the hirer who is required to check regularly oil and water levels and tyre pressures. Damage to any of the tyres is not covered by the suppliers insurance. Any such damage is the hirer's responsibility. In case of incorrect use of fuel, the hirer will be responsible for any associated cost.
RESTRICTION ON TRAVEL
Vehicles cannot be driven outside the EU, unless written authorization is obtained from the rental center at the time of the booking.
FINES
The hirer is fully responsible for all fines and any consequences of the violation of traffic regulations and parking orders or prohibitions during the rental. If the Supplier is required to pay such fines, the hirer agrees that the Supplier may debit any charge to his credit card during the rental or after the return of the vehicle with the amount of any fine plus an administrative charge of € 25,00 for each of the fine(s). The Supplier shall supply the hirer with a copy of any traffic violation notice received.
SMOKING
The hirer is kindly advised that smoking is prohibited in vehicles.
ANIMALS
No pets are admitted on board.
MINIMUM DAYS OF RENTAL
Off and middle season 5 days. Peak season 21 days (except for September and October)
MILEAGE ALLOWANCE
Peak season: 100km during the peak season, Mid and Low season: includes 150km. Exceeding km: €0.25 per km.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Please obtain invoices (named to the Supplier - please contact in the first instance for a VAT number) for any payment which you make for repairs carried out, in order to obtain a refund from us. All accidents should be reported immediately by telephone to the suppliers offices.
In case of theft, hirers will be liable for the entire amount of the deposit. Please be advised to leave the vehicle always closed, without documents aboard, and with the antitheft on. Don't leave the vehicle unguarded. (N.B. accident could take longer to sort out and will inevitably lead to a delay in processing any refund):
In case of breakdown the hirer must keep in contact with the suppliers offices in order to report on the state of repairs. Hirer cooperation
will be appreciated in order to solve rapidly any problem.
